In Person Class 9/24 : Garlic Braid + Flower Cookie Decorating

$160.00

Sunday, September 24th

2pm - 4pm

At our bakery, 234 Hamlet St., LA 90042

Come get craftsy!  This class includes two activities.  First, learn how to make your own everlasting flower garlic braid with Mary from Sweet Mountaintop Farm. These beautiful arrangements are perfect for bringing beauty to your kitchen, and you can eat the garlic, too!  The braid you will make consists of 8 heads of garlic along with a variety of herbs and flowers that were *all* grown on Mary's farm.

The second activity is decorating cookies with edible flowers with Loria herself.  Each guest will take home 1 dozen edible flower cookies that they will decorate and will learn a bit about edible flowers, how to fill a pastry bag and pipe and decorate cookies with edible flowers.

We'll Provide:

- All materials for Floral Garlic Braid

- 1 dozen shortbread cookies + icing, edible flowers + herbs

- 1 dozen boxes for you to take home your gorgeous creations

Note: Please inform the organizers in advance of any food allergies or dietary restrictions. Adjustments can be made to the recipes accordingly.   Email us: flowers@eatyourflowers.com

A Little about Sweet Mountaintop

Mary Gonzalez was born and raised in Carpinteria, CA where her family owns an avocado farm.  In her 20’s she began growing food, flowers, and herbs for herself, and that soon turned into a passion and career.  She immersed herself in the world of herbalism, and with an emerging knowledge and experience with herbs, she began making products with the plants she grew.  She now runs a business selling her herbs and flowers that she grows on her farm.

Sweet Mountaintop is an herb and flower company with a small farm and homestead located on Rincon Mountain, just outside of Carpinteria.  Using the plants they grow on their farm, they focus on creating potent herbal products as well as a wide variety of beautiful fresh and dried flower products.  They also offer workshops and host events on our farm.
