In this immersive one-day workshop, you will embark on a culinary journey to learn the art of creating the most delicious Carrot Ginger Cake with Maple Miso Frosting with a stunning edible botanical and herb mandala design.
Discover the perfect balance of flavors and indulge in the aromatic combination of carrots, ginger, delicate spices, savory miso, sweet maple, with balancing cream cheese. Workshop Includes:
- Overview of the Carrot Ginger Cake recipe, including key ingredients and techniques
- Exploring the flavors + meanings: understanding the role of carrots, ginger, and spices in the cake as well as the roots of key ingredients, their health benefits and the historical significance of Mandalas
- Hands-on Activity: Preparing the cake batter, incorporating the flavors, and baking the cake layers
- Introduction to Maple Miso Frosting: combining the sweetness of maple with the savory notes of miso
- Hands-on Activity: Making the frosting and applying it to the cooled cake layers
